Just now finally reading through all this as I kept getting interrupted every time I tried to read from front to back.
Wow, what an amazing story. The updates, pics, everything was really nice to see.
Makers I had no idea your wife was involved in the Masters or the Travelers. Indeed a lifetime experience. One of my dream jobs was to be a tournament director. While I have been to many many tournaments, you never truly get to see what happens and goes on behind the scenes. The countless days and hours it takes to put on any tournament of any size. The Masters, one step above everything as usual.
I have so much to say, not sure where all to start. Augusta, man what a place. I've been six times to date and each and every time I go it's still an experience. Makers, while it will be a lot of work to work the Masters next year, GO. Especially if you have never been. There is no other place like it on earth. The grass, flowers, it's all breathtaking. While it's stunning from the most vivid TV, nothing will do it justice until you see it in person. As it was once said, every time I step on the course I want to take my shoes off.
It's been two years since I've been down. As I said before, we had planned to go this year but travel work cancelled the trip. We've won tickets four of the six times we've gone down. The other two we just payed for the tickets either online or outside of the course. We are planning to go next year as my dad's health is not the best and I want to do all I can to get him there one more time. He's a fanatic of the Masters, not sure who isn't, but because of him, he's the reason why I ever got into golf years ago. If we can make it down and you guys work the Masters next year, would love to meet up and buy you a cold one!
Thank you for sharing. Some of the posts gave me a good laugh and brought back some wonderful memories.
Tell Mrs. P she needs to work the Ryder Cup!

Buck she still speaks of her 17 days at Augusta..There just isn't another place like it No, there's really not. It's just an amazing experience. The history, everything about the Masters just makes you go in awe. It is literally sacred ground. I have a few books in my golf book collection I will recommend to you. They tell you a lot about the Masters, the history, stories, so many good things about how the Masters became what it is today. Both are a really good read. I will dig them up and confirm the titles for you here later this week.
