CBB: Virginia Tech (+ 2.5) upset No. 7 Duke 82-67 in ACC Championship Game to escape the “bubble” and steal the conference’s automatic NCAA bid. No. 2 Arizona (-2) and No. 6 Kansas (-2.5) covered in their 84-76 and 74-65 wins over No. 13 UCLA and No. 14 Texas Tech, respectively, in the Pac-12 and Big 12 title games. No. 8 Villanova (-6.5) beat Creighton 54-48 for the Big East title, but did NOT cover the spread. In the Big Ten semifinals, No. 9 Purdue (-6.5) beat Michigan State 75-70 and No. 24 Iowa beat Indiana 80-77 but both also failed to cover. In the SEC semifinals, Texas A/M (+ 6) continued its run on the bubble with an 82-64 upset of No. 15 Arkansas.
NBA: Underdogs went 5-2 SU and 5-1-1 ATS Saturday with upsets by the Warriors (+ 2 in 122-109 win vs, Bucks, snapping Milwaukee’s 6-game winning streak), Raptors (+ 7 in 127-115 win at Nuggets), Timberwolves (+ 3.5 in 113-104 win at Heat), Blazers (+ 6.5 in 127-118 win vs. Wizards) and Pacers (+ 1.5 in 119-108 win at Spurs). The push was in the Jazz’s 134-125 win vs. Kings as 9-point home favorite. The only chalk to cover Saturday was the Bulls (-4.5 in 101-91 win vs. Cavaliers). Unders went 4-3.

The upsets were by the Nuggets (+ 3.5 in 114-110 win at 76ers), Kings (+ 4.5 in 112-103 win vs. Bulls) and Bucks (+ 2 in 117-111 win at Jazz). Overs went 4-3-1 with the push in the Nuggets-76ers game with a closing consensus total of 224.
NHL: The Coyotes beat the Senators 5-3 in Monday's lone NHL game as + 130 road underdogs. The game went Over the betting total of 6 goals.

CBB: Texas Southern (-3.5) beat Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 76-67 to tip off the NCAA tournament in the First Four/No. 16 play-in game in Dayton, Ohio. The game went Over the betting total of 136.5. In the nightcap, Indiana (-4.5) beat Wyoming 66-58 in the No. 12 play-in as the game stayed Under 132). Faves went 2-0 SU and ATS. Over/Unders split 1-1.

CBB: Faves went 12-4 SU on Thursday in the first round of the NCAA tournament with outright upsets by No. 12 Richmond, No. 12 New Mexico State, No. 15 St. Peter's and No. 9 Creighton (more details below), but only 9-7 ATS with Gonzaga, Arkansas and UCLA failing to cover as chalk in their victories. Overs went 10-6.
More CBB: No. 12 Richmond upset No. 5 Iowa 67-63 as 10-point underdog and + 400 on the money line for the first upset of the NCAA tournament after the first games were covered by the favorites. Earlier, No. 11 Michigan beat No. 6 Colorado State 75-63 but it wasn't an upset as the Wolverines closed as a 1.5-point fave. Overall No. 1 seed Gonzaga (-22.5) broke open a close game to rout Georgia State 93-72 but did NOT cover as the Bulldogs dribbled out the clock to the delight of underdog bettors.
Even more CBB: In the early night session, No. 15 St. Peter's (+ 18.5, + 1500 ML) shocked No. 2 Kentucky 85-79 in OT. The public got off to a hot start in March Madness, with favorites going 13-7 ATS and overs 13-7 to the Tournament. Contrarian bettors and sportsbooks finally got the regression they were looking for on Friday, as dogs bounced back with a 10-6 ATS showing and unders also 10-6. One trend that has emerged thus far: teams with line movement in their favor of at least a half point (like 5 to 4.5 or -5 to -5.5) have gone 20-10 ATS (67%)

CBB: No. 1 overall seed Gonzaga rallied to beat No. 9 Memphis 82-78 late Saturday to advance to the Sweet 16. The Bulldogs didn't cover after closing as 10-point favorites and the game went Over the betting total of 155 points. Faves went 5-3 SU on the day, but just like Memphis-Gonzaga, dogs dominated at 6-2 ATS. Overs also went 6-2. Midway through the 2nd round of the tournament, faves lead just 27-13 SU while dogs now lead 23-17 ATS (57.5 percent) after going 16-8 ATS (66.7 percent) the last 2 days after faves went 9-7 ATS on Thursday. Overs lead 22-18.
To start the day, No. 8 seed North Carolina (+ 5.5, + 190 on the money line) upset No. 1 Baylor 93-86 in OT after squandering a 25-point lead. The game went Over the betting total of 149 in regulation. No. 11 Michigan (+ 7, + 250 ML) upset No. 3 Tennessee 76-68 and then No. 15 St. Peter's (+ 8, + 300) upset No. 7 Murray State 70-60.
