64-year-old Pat Summitt, who coached the University of Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team to 8 national tittle, is dead.
Summitt, who coached the team from 1974-2012, won 8 NCAA championships and more than 1,000 games ... more than any female basketball coach in NCAA history.
She received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012.
Pat had been diagnosed with Alzheimers in August, 2011 and her conditioned worsened in the last few days.

RIP Coach Summitt. She was a leader and what a model she would have been had she been a leader in politics.
