MLB announced they have suspended New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson for one game and issued a fine for his comments towards Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson.
The talk of the weekend series between the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox surrounded Josh Donaldson's comments towards Tim Anderson. After Saturday's game which saw a benches-clearing incident, Anderson revealed that Donaldson called him "Jackie [Robinson]," which he called "disrespectful." Donaldson confirmed that he said it, but said it was in reference to a 2019 interview with Sports Illustrated in which Anderson said he felt like "today's Jackie Robinson."
Even with the explanation by Donaldson, it was not enough to escape punishment by MLB.
On Monday, May 23, MLB announced that Donaldson has been suspended for one game and was issued an undisclosed fine for his comments towards Anderson. Donaldson is appealing the decision.

Styles make fights... Best quote ever!!!!
Entering the ring versus Foreman in Zaire..Dundee was visible shaken shaken, fearful knowing Foreman had destroyed the fighters that gave Ali problems..(Norton and Frazier) Ali leans down to Dundee and says "Not to worry Angie, after 7 rounds his chute won't open"

As quickly as it arrived, Florida sports betting is gone. Hard Rock pulled its sportsbook app in December 2021 after a series of court rulings against the legality of sports betting in Florida.
The app was live for just over a month. The Seminole Tribe is currently appealing the court decision that vacated the 2021 Florida gambling compact. However, the appeals process is moving slowly, making it unlikely that online sports betting returns to Florida in 2022.
In the meantime, FanDuel and DraftKings admitted defeat on a ballot measure that would legalize widespread online sports betting.

MLB: Faves went 9-7 on Friday with the biggest upset by the Guardians (+ 237 in 2-1, 10-inn. win at Dodgers). Unders went 8-7-1 with the push in the Diamondbacks’ 7-2 win over the Twins with a betting total of 9 runs.

Overnight NBA Draft Drama
The NBA Draft is tonight (8 p.m. ET, ABC), but the action started around 1:15 a.m. this morning when Paolo Banchero became the favorite to be selected No. 1. With Orlando having the top pick, Jabari Smith had been a heavy favorite and was at -500 as of Wednesday evening. The huge shift happened within an hour as Banchero, the Duke power forward who was 20-1 on Saturday and 250 earlier Wednesday, steamed toward -200 (at DK Sportsbook) by 2:15 a.m. ET. Chet Holmgren of Gonzaga remained the favorite to go No. 2 at -115 to Oklahoma City. Auburn's Smith now is the favorite to go No. 3 (currently held by Houston) at +120. What caused the dramatic movement? Did someone spring a leak or is it an early smoke screen from Orlando looking to trade down?

Game 4 fell the way of Colorado in overtime, but maybe it shouldn't have. Replay and the official game sheet showed that the Avalanche had six players on the ice when Nazem Kadri scored the game-winning goal. The Avs can finish the series in Game 5 on home ice and the Tampa Bay Lightning now need to win three in a row to turn a three-peat into a reality.
The early line for Game 5 (Friday, 8 p.m. ET, ABC) shows Colorado at -165 and the series price is -1200 at DraftKings.

The Baker Mayfield era in Cleveland ended long before yesterday's trade, but the book has finally closed. Mayfield was sent to Carolina to battle with Sam Darnold and rookie Matt Corral for the Week 1 start against, yep, you guessed it, the Browns. The Panthers gave up a conditional 2024 draft pick and the Browns put $10.5 million towards Mayfield's salary cap hit.
